1. Information We Collect

We may collect information that you provide directly or that is generated when you use the application.

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect your email address, a username, and basic profile details you choose to provide.

Location Information

Location information is collected only where you grant permission, and only as needed to provide location-sharing features. See "Location Information" below.

Usage Information

We may automatically collect limited information about how the application is used, such as:

• App interactions
• Feature usage
• Session information
• Device type
• Operating system version
• App version
• Crash and performance data

This information helps us understand product performance, improve features, and resolve technical issues.

Device Information

Certain technical information may be collected automatically, including device identifiers, language settings, region settings, and other diagnostic information.

2. Location Information

PhoneTracker uses location information to provide shared maps, circle location sharing, and location history.

Information Collected

With your device's location permission, the application can access your precise or approximate location, depending on your settings. When location sharing is enabled, we collect and upload:

• Latitude and longitude
• The date and time the location was recorded
• The estimated accuracy of the location

These records are associated with your device or service identifier so that the application can display the correct member's location and history.

Foreground and Background Location

Location may be accessed while you use the application. If you also grant background location permission and enable location sharing, the application may continue collecting and uploading location while it is running in the background or is not visible on your screen.

Location updates depend on your permissions, device settings, network availability, and operating system restrictions.

How Location Is Used and Shared

We use location information to display positions on circle maps, provide location history, and show place names associated with recorded locations. Coordinates may be processed by Apple's map and location services to display maps and resolve place names.

When you enable sharing, your location information is uploaded to our servers and made available to members of circles in which you participate, subject to the application's sharing controls. Share your location only with people you trust.

Location records may also be stored temporarily on your device to support location history and to retry uploads when a network connection becomes available and sharing is enabled.

Your Choices

You can manage location sharing through More → Permission Settings in the application. You can also change location access, background access, and precise location permissions in your device settings.

Turning off location sharing stops future location updates from the application, although an update already in progress may still complete. Revoking location permission prevents the application from accessing new device locations. These actions do not automatically delete location records that have already been uploaded or copies that other circle members may have saved.

To request deletion of your associated location history, use More → Delete Account, subject to the retention and deletion provisions in this Privacy Policy.

PhoneTracker does not locate another person merely from their phone number. Location sharing requires participation in the service and the relevant location permissions; it is not intended for covert or unauthorized monitoring.

3. How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

• Provide location-sharing and circle features
• Show members' positions on a shared map
• Send safe-place and arrival alerts
• Help locate a misplaced device you own or manage
• Personalize application features and results
• Maintain and improve application performance
• Diagnose bugs, crashes, and technical issues
• Understand feature usage and improve the user experience
• Prevent misuse, fraud, or security threats
• Provide customer support
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to providing and improving the application unless permitted by you or required by law.

4. Consent and Circles

The application is built on consent between people who know each other.

Every member of a circle joins by choice, can see who else is in the circle, and can leave at any time.

Members can choose whether to share their own location with the circle, and can stop sharing at any moment.

We do not support, and will not support, using the application to track a person without their knowledge.

5. Camera, Contacts, and Notifications

Camera

Camera access is used only when you choose to take a photo within the application.

Contacts

If you grant access, we may use your contacts to help you invite people to your circle. Contact information is not collected or stored for unrelated purposes.

Notifications

With your permission, the application may send notifications about location sharing, safe-place alerts, and other relevant activity.

You can manage these permissions at any time through your device settings.

6. Tracking and Advertising

Where applicable, the application may request permission to track activity across apps or websites for advertising, analytics, attribution, or personalization purposes.

Tracking will only occur where permitted under applicable platform requirements and where the required permission has been granted.

You can change tracking permissions at any time through your device privacy settings.

7. Third-Party Services

The application may use third-party service providers to support functions such as:

• Map and location data
• Data hosting
• Analytics
• Crash reporting
• Subscription management
• Payment processing
• Advertising attribution
• Customer support

These service providers may process limited information as necessary to provide their services.

Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and applicable contractual or legal requirements.

8. Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions made through the application are processed by the applicable app marketplace.

We do not directly receive or store your full payment card information.

Information related to subscription status, transaction identifiers, purchase status, or entitlement information may be processed to provide subscription features and verify access.

9. Data Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, maintain functionality, fulfill legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce applicable agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is processed.

Location history may be kept for a limited period to provide circle features you have requested, and can be cleared by members who have the right to delete it.

10. Data Security

Reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures are used to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

Information may be shared only in limited circumstances, including:

• With service providers necessary to operate application features
• To comply with legal requirements or lawful requests
• To protect users, the application, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats
• In connection with a business restructuring, transfer, merger, or similar transaction
• With your consent or at your direction

12. Children's Privacy

The application is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law to independently consent to data processing.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

If information is discovered to have been collected from a child without appropriate authorization, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

15. Deleting Your Data

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information.

Deleting your account will remove your profile from any circles you belong to.

In some cases, we may retain limited data where required by law or to resolve disputes.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to application features, data practices, legal requirements, or technology.

When changes are made, the updated version will be made available with a revised effective date.

Continued use of the application after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy.
